The pleasant temperatures of a beautiful Saturday created an exceptional backdrop for our now traditional ride with our champion Matej Mohorič, reserved for the drawn prize winners and a few invited guests. Mostly rainy May weather finally served up a sunny Saturday, allowing us to organize a cycling-themed gathering of lucky winners with the always smiling Matej Mohorič, ambassador of L'Etape Slovenia.

... who registered early for the 80 km or 145 km Sunday challenge of I feel Slovenia L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France, which will take place on September 8, 2024, starting and finishing in Kranj.

With the meeting point at the headquarters of the Kranj Cycling Club, the cycling adventure led along part of the longer L'Etape Slovenia route through the extended idyllic village of Besnica to the village of Njivice, from where the route goes through Matej's Podblica, where the atmosphere during the September spectacle is the hottest, to the top of the idyllic climb to Jamnik.

To ensure the best possible cycling experience, safety was well taken care of. Thanks go to the Kranj Cycling Club, which provided technical support and an escort vehicle, and partner VitalGo, which provided all participants with a goodie bag that cyclists can use for their further cycling adventures. There was a mandatory photo session at the top of Jamnik, followed by a descent along the same path to the valley and a return to the meeting point. All participants who ordered this year's L'Etape Slovenia cycling jersey in a distinctive yellow colour, the colour of Tour de France winners, received it on that day.

The Saturday ride, which focused on socializing, passed in a relaxed manner, with participants improving their techniques and getting to know fellow L'Etape enthusiasts. All of this was captured in a short report video. You're invited to watch it!
