L'Étape San Luis Potosí by Tour de France first edition took place on August, 27th and 28th. During two days, the state capital hosted an authentic cycling party for thousands of participants and fans. The event impregnated the whole city with green & yellow waves of cyclists.

The race village offfered to every cyclists and fans the opportunity to meet and interact with many local artisans who presented and talked about their products. It was a great way to make people discover San Luis Potosí culture and to promote its local hertitage.

On D-Day, at 6:00AM, more than 1,200 riders took the start of one of the 3 race formats : the Long Route (115km - 1,300m elevation), the Short Route (75km - 940m elevation) and the Sprint Route (40km - flat). From the main avenues of the city to the beautiful mountains and local flora, San Luis Potosí offered breathtaking landscapes to every participants from the start to the finish line. At the end, all the finishers enjoyed a great pizza party in the recovery area.

All the winners were then recognized with trophies, official Tour de France jerseys and gifts from official sponsors of the event.
